Such a perfect day with Lenka!!
But first let me introduce her to you: Lenka is her name on Earth, but actually she doesn’t belong here. She is angel overflowing with love and joy whom I’ve been truly lucky to meet.
Lenka invited me for a trip to Luhačovice, the Moravian town where she grew up, and what a nice surprise!
Mineral Waters:
This town is popular for its highly mineralized water springs (9854 milligrams of minerals / liter) which is indicated as a natural remedy for many diseases. Of course, both its smell and taste are not precisely pleasant for sensitive palates. There are several fountains along the town and in the surrounding forest from where you can drink this water for free. We started our tour trying Dr. Šťastného’s.

We drunk from many other springs, but none was so "drinkable" for me as Dr. Happy's :) We also tried Ottovka, and a bit into the forest there was another spring but this one I couldn’t drink a single drop. Too smelly! Finally we arrived to Vincentka. There were five taps for cold or hot mineral water, all the signs were in Czech, thus I didn’t know what was the difference among them, so I decided to try all of them. Actually the third one was quite good, and so I told Lenka with excitement about my discovery. She looked at me with this look of are-you-kidding-me and after two seconds with a smile on her face she replied: Ok, but that is just still water….. (the sound of crikets in my mind...). We were laughing all the way through!
Lenka took her wedding album and showed me the places where they were taken pictures of. The town looks the same. Houses in art nouveau style from the first third of the 20th century, colourful wooden bridges, big squares with fountains, the relaxing sound of water, gardens with bright tulips and the induced feeling of wellness.
We also visited an interesting art gallery where we found the head of the Spanish valiant itinerant knight Don Quixote de la Mancha.
After lunch it was time for spa. A big indoor swimming pool, hot water massage pool, jacuzzi, sauna…. I felt fully renewed.
To make a perfect day complete, we visited Lenka’s family. Her parents and grandma are such a lovely people! They invited us for coffee and chlebičky (typical Czech bread appetizers). They were really curious about me and gave me lots of presents: Lots of Lázeňské Oplatky (spa waffles), sweets and eco eggs!
I’ll never forget my visit to Luhačovice: THANK YOU, LENKA AND FAMILY!!!
